We are very proud of our school uniform and the children always look very smart. Our uniform is as follows:

We encourage children to take care of their clothing and endeavour to ensure that missing articles are found. It is essential for parents/carers to mark all items clearly with the child’s name.

Jewellery 

For health and safety reasons, we do not allow children to wear jewellery. The exceptions to this rule are small studs in pierced ears, and they may also wear a watch. Earrings should not be worn on the day of PE and swimming.

If a child has their ears pierced during term time, they will need to bring plasters to cover their earrings in PE lessons during the six to eight-week healing period. Children will be asked to take their earrings out for all PE and sports activities. Plasters can be used to cover earrings for PE, but if a child is unable to take their earrings out they will not be able to go swimming.

Nail varnish is not appropriate and should not be worn in school.

Preloved Uniform

The Department of Education has asked that:

“Schools should make sure that arrangements are in place so that second-hand school uniforms are available for all parents".

We welcome good quality preloved uniform, we take our uniform to Tupton Edge Ministries 68 Queen Victoria Road, New Tupton, Chesterfield. S42 6BL. tupton@edgeministries.net.  They ensure all uniform is cleaned and they hold open days for parents to attend, where they can get uniform plus shoes & coats.
