Empowering young explorers to safely make the most of the web in ways that advance and enrich their lives for the better!

Once again this year, we were thrilled to be involved with i-Vengers!

We have eight pupils from KS2 who have been chosen for this important role. Throughout the year, they will be engaged in a variety of tasks and secret missions aimed at helping children, parents, staff, and governors to better understand how to stay safe online. This is an important and exciting role, and we will be updating this page regularly to share our progress. Make sure to check back often to see what we've been up to!

PCC Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts attended our Academy along with Traci Good, Chief I-venger and Alan Mackenzie Online Safety Expert, to see first-hand the work we are doing through the i-Vengers programme to improve the safety of children online.

As the APCC National Joint Lead for Economic, Cyber Crime, Fraud and Online Safety, Nicolle was keen to find out what students knew about staying safe online and how they could report inappropriate content, online bullying or harassment. It was good to see students invested in the i-Vengers scheme.

The I-vengers hosted an engaging school assembly where they introduced themselves and shared exciting details about upcoming projects they would be actively involved in.

Our I-vengers Rap

Yo, yo, we’re I-vengers,
Here to keep you safe!

Temple Normanton, online smart,
Guard your info, stay sharp!

Strong passwords, smart moves,
Each and every day,

I-vengers got your back for sure,
In every single way!

I-vengers January 2025

I-vengers have had lunchtime clinics to talk to the children to help understand the differences between misinformation and disinformation. I-vengers made flash cards and asked children questions to see if they can tell the difference between misinformation and disinformation.  We found that most children were familiar with misinformation but not so good with disinformation, so we were able to explain and be better informed about being safe online.

We had an amazing i-Vengers assembly on Internet Safety Day! During the event, we showcased our video on staying safe online.  To make it even more exciting, we held a competition where children designed creative posters promoting online safety, with a chance to win a £10 voucher!
