Empowering young explorers to safely make the most of the web in ways that advance and enrich their lives for the better!

Once again this year, we are thrilled to be involved with i-Vengers!

We have eight pupils from KS2 who have been chosen for this important role. Throughout the year, they will be engaged in a variety of tasks and secret missions aimed at helping children, parents, staff, and governors to better understand how to stay safe online. This is an important and exciting role, and we will be updating this page regularly to share our progress.                           Hi, I am Amelia. My Avatar is Safe Surf Sally. The Safe Surf Sally app is a fun way to help kids stay safe while exploring the internet!

Hi, I am Freddie. My Avatar is Phishing Fighter. Phishing Fighter apps help people spot and stay safe from tricky messages that pretend to be from trusted sources.

I-vengers January 2025

I-vengers have had lunchtime clinics to talk to the children to help understand the differences between misinformation and disinformation. I-vengers made flash cards and asked children questions to see if they can tell the difference between misinformation and disinformation.  We found that most children were familiar with misinformation but not so good with disinformation, so we were able to explain and be better informed about being safe online.

                                                                       

 

 

We had an amazing i-Vengers assembly on Internet Safety Day! During the event, we showcased our video on staying safe online.  To make it even more exciting, we held a competition where children designed creative posters promoting online safety, with a chance to win a £10 voucher!
